2.  Finding the right photographer in Houston, Texas.

Finding and choosing the best photographer for your wedding event is one of the most important decisions you'll make. It could make the difference between having priceless memories of your wedding beautifully recorded forever, or the nightmare of finding out too late that the photography was a disaster, or that your photographer is unworkable and you do not end up with what you expected.

3.  Interview your potential photographers.

Make an appointment and try to get a thorough interview with your potential photographers ahead of time. Ask to see their samples, demos and work on other weddings. For more advice on this see choosing your wedding photographer.

4.  Photography in Houston, posed vs action shots.

Posed shots: These are the best quality, as time and attention are usually given to ensure optimal results.

Action shots: These are the poorest overall photos, being taken on the fly they can sometimes capture or miss the moment. Normally a number are taken to get it right. The flash may not recycle fast enough to get another good shot, the focusing or lighting may be undesirable. This is what mostly makes an amateurs photos unprofessional, relying solely on action shots to cover an event. That said, they are a necessary part of the photos when things are happening quickly.

4.1  Posed action shots.

This is the solution to the more unprofessional action shots. Asking the bride & groom to pause for a moment during the action, dance, cake cutting, etc, in order to get the shot right. It's important for the subjects to be aware of this and pause when needed. This is also what makes the difference in a good photographer--The professional does not mind stopping the action to get his shots and he can do them quickly.

4.2  Know your location, photographer in Houston.

Another helpful point to remember is to look at your wedding location ahead of time & try to get some ideas of good photo spots. Your photographer doesn't make the sets, he just sets the scene. So it's important to give him something to work with.
